Description:
Edinburgh, Scotland – C:S Project

2:3 recreation of The City of Edinburgh, Scotland in Cities: SkylinesI am attempting to ‘replicate’ Edinburgh in a 2:3 scale.

I’ve used terrain.party[terrain.party] for the heightmaps, as well as an overlay mod and some mapping and photo editing tools to get an overlay of streets. My goal is to closely replicate Edinburgh in its ‘current’ (circa. 2020) state, and to then ‘improve’ it, starting with the bypass (freeflow interchange at Hermiston Gait, Sheriffhall, etc.) and other transport improvements, as well as further developing Leith Docks, extending the A823(M) as it was designed to be, and so on.

Compromises:
– There’s no model for/similar to the Forth Bridge (as in the rail bridge), so I’ve just used the regular railway bridge. The other two bridges are quite accurate!

Let me know any suggestions in the comments!
