Buffalo Bills Mirage
Semi Desert/ Fantasy Map with custom Theme. Terrain Taken From Buffalo Bills Reservoir in Wyoming. I have tried to keep this map looking fairly realistic with a hint on Fantasy in areas. Castle/ Fort has been left empty so this can be used for a park/feature area. Cliff,Sand and Ruined textures have been designed to work well with Greyflames Arid Yellow Rocks
The Suspension Bridge was installed for a whopping cost of $400 million in early 2000’s. Within the first 6 months, 2 ships had crashed into it and a severe Tornado had damaged the bridge. If you look closely at some of the suspension cables, you can see there are a few bent cables. After running a few stress tests, government officials decided that the bridge was still safe and never fixed them . Night lights were installed to avoid anymore damage and the wrecked ships were never removed out of fear they would cause more damage.
To be more realistic; I spotted this bridge on the steam workshop and thought this would be a perfect asset for this map. unfortunately the bride is suppose to have a curve on it to align the cables. The creator hasn’t supplied details on how the curve looks and i have spent well over 10 hours trying to get this looking perfect only to realise it looks the best flat. but hey,its nice to add a silly little story to a map.
