Baku Flame Towers by HOK

Located on a hill overlooking the Caspian Sea and Baku’s old city center, this trio of iconic buildings has transformed the skyline of Azerbaijan’s capital. The city’s history of fire worship, natural gas resources and recent reputation as a hotbed for technology and commerce inspired HOK’s design of these sleek, flame-shaped towers.

Though similar in appearance, each tower was designed to serve a specific function. The tallest of the three structures, a 39 story residential tower, accommodates 130 luxury apartments. A 36 story hotel building on the northern corner of the site provides stunning views from 318 guestrooms. An office tower on the west of the site provides more than 350,000 square feet of commercial office space.

Anchoring all three towers is a retail podium with leisure and entertainment amenities for occupants and guests.

The Flame Towers are completely covered with the LED screens that display the movement of a fire visible from the farthest points of the city.

This asset includes the animated LEDs and can be activated by renaming the building in game. They need electricity to animate.

In recreating this amazing building I have strived to replicate the spectacular curves that distinguish this architectural wonder. As such, the tri-count is higher than it could have been, but you’re not going to plop more than one of these are you?

Geometry
Model: 19,421 tris
LOD: 716 tris
In-game footprint: 32 x22 units (256 x 175m).

Textures
2048 x 2048 textures with a 128 LOD.

Plopping the building will flatten the ground but I recommend flattening an area of the footprint beforehand to avoid "Terrain too steep" warnings.

The asset is constructed from four sub-buildings that all use the same textures, so if you use the Loading Screen mod the textures will be shared by all the elements and this will reduce any load on your machine.
