Hoboken Terminal Interlocking Tower
Protecting the block.
Built in 1894 to control the Hoboken Terminal interlocking (the set of signals controlling rail traffic), the Hoboken Terminal (or NJ Transit Terminal) Interlocking Tower would protect its block of tracks without major incident for over 20 years. It was notably one of relatively few panel-driven interlockings in North America, built in the brief period between earlier systems and today’s computer-driven ones. Even it eventually lost out to more centralized rail control, however, closing in 2005. It still stands today, at the end of the terminal’s 7th & 8th platforms.
This is a unique building with a few props included. Place it from the unique buildings menu or search for it with Find It! 2. The two lights use custom effects created for Custom Effect Loader, without which they will not light up. The main building contains a single stain submesh using the rotors shader, but this can look strange in certain lighting conditions. To remove it, simply select the building and rename it. It can be replaced at any time by giving the building its original name.
