In 1922, the Chicago Tribune announced an international competition for its new downtown HQ on the occasion of its 75th anniversary then. The competition sought "the most beautiful building in the world" and I gotta say I agree. The competition was so important that even its competition pieces that didn’t make it have influenced other buildings decades to come. Enjoy the Gothic details as they were pain in the ass to make.
