Orion VI Bus (CC)

The Orion VI was a brand of buses built by Ontario Bus Industries (later Orion) from 1995 – 2003. Unlike other low-floor buses which have an elevated rear section, the Orion VI featured a fully low floor design from front to back. To accomplish this, both the engine and drive train were re-positioned to the back-left corner of the bus. This however meant that these buses also had fewer seats then there competitors like the New Flyer D40LF and Nova LFS. The TTC would purchase 50 of these buses, however they were only in service for 10 years as the TTC would end its use of CNG buses, and decided not to convert these buses to Diesel as they had done with their Orion V CNG buses.
