New Flyer D40LF (CC)

The New Flyer D40LF was a low-floor line of buses produced by New Flyer. The Toronto Transit Commission would order 51 buses in 1998 as part of its trial of Low-Floor buses. The TTC would end up sticking with the Orion Buses in the end however due to political pressure and the fact that Orion buses were made in Ontario while New Flyer buses were made in Manitoba. Regardless the New Flyer D40LF’s would ply the cities streets until they were retired from service in the mid 2010’s.
