Googie Motel
This asset is the first to what I hope to be a good collective of "Atompunk" themed assets.
Atompunk comprises mainly of Googie, and Mid Century Moderne Architecture. This was widely inspired by the atomic age, and humankind’s space race.
With the propect of automation, and the American dream rife with envy, people started designing with lavish futuristic concepts.
You might think of diners, casinos, nuclear plants, spaceships and other futuristic things, maybe "The Jetsons" or Star Trek" but without the available technology in a lot of cases.
Mid Century America was weird, let’s bring it back xD, retro is on the move!

I’m developing the atompunk alongside the cyberpunk, as I’ve realized I’m going to want suburbs to fit the bill as well. Steampunk will likely turn into my countryside, with other architectural endeavours to be explored.
I’m planning on doing this long term, and I will be continuing for a while to work into the proposed assets.
This will include growables, services, parks, and possibly more. Stay tuned!

I limited the tri count as is (because of cities skylines and other people’s computers but wanted to go more detail). I also didn’t want to sacrifice too much on the lod. Not to mention it isn’t massive, but it is very unique, so I figured keep a good look about it. This was a goal.
I started this build with a main model, and then went up, for the main in tri counts, and down for the lod. Sticklers might notice i think one but maybe a couple tiny details, but this, as with all my previous assets created are building blocks. Did the best I wanted to without sacrificing really any integrity of the model. Pretty happy with this.
Plus I managed my first near perfect lod bake. Found my method!
Leave a comment if you want another version just like it released, except looking super sci-fi reather than the modernist aesthetic.
