Mid-18?0’s Queen Anne
A grand old beauty, this conspicuous crowd-pleaser has all of the Suffragette era accoutrements. Bay windows, gothic rooflines, chamfered corners, multiple fireplaces, dramatic wraparound porch, a peaked corner turret, and a luxurious second-story balcony.
The workshop has a dearth of of 1880s-1900s Queen Anne houses. This helps to fill the gap. And, as you can see from several screenshots, it fits in well with single-family home assets by Khrysler (Kiamesha & Hastings) and cbudd.
Description
This is a fabled Queen Anne-style Victorian "mansion" home. They’re the visually complex dream houses that make you appreciate your modest heating bill. The place you pass on a roadtrip as a kid and imagine having that sweet tower bedroom.
It’s perfect for mid-street or corner lots in all manner of settings. Be it an urban core, streetcar suburb, quiet farmstead or manor hill, the Queen Anne commands any neighborhood. It also fits a wide variety of North American regions. These beauts exist in Twin Peaks ID as well as Derry MA; Kansas City and the Florida Panhandle. Plenty dot the balmy Gothic South and Dust Bowl ciudades. Others can be found in dense Canadian river-towns; others yet spread cross the golden hills of NorCal.
This particular model is heavily based on a coastal domicile[www.google.com] in Edenton, North Carolina.
The cool thing is that there are not one, but TWO variations incldued in this asset! One is the "flipped" version of the other – the turret apepars on an alternate side in each asset.
If demand exists, I’ll create versions with "deeper" lots wherein the houses are set father back from the street, and maybe on a 3-tile wide lot.
(PS – the vents & balusters don’t have alphas on Sketchfab & appear solid; they are semi-transparent in-game)
Recommended Assets
Pdelmo bushes (Regular Bush tiny, Green bushes, etc), hockenheim95’s BIG decals, Rex_Luminor’s Germany Chimney Props, and some vanilla assets (mailbox and… that’s it?) were used to decorate the lot. Lacking these other subscriptions will do no harm.
I should also note that many of my assets share textures, so if you have Loading Screen Mod, you’ll see some decent load time savings. ALL MY QUEEN ANNE ASSETS USE THIS MODEL’S TEXTURE! Next up is a famous Second Empire from Boulder CO… try and guess it!
