Kazematten 1935
This asset contain two bunkers which are very common in the Netherlands.
Type 1: "Groepsschuilplaats" type P:
Also refered to as the pyramid. these bunkers are wide spread over the Netherlands. During the 1930’s the Dutch ministry of defence build an estimated 570 of these heavy concrete structures. The bunker can shelter 10 to 13 soldiers during bombardments and are placed on strategic lines around the country. The Type P is not a fighting bunker but rather a shelter.
Type 2: "lichte Kazemat" type S3A Stekelvarken. (porcupine)
This small bunker has three firing ports and was design to cover a 190 degrees area.
The type was often build on higher ground around flood area’s. The country was set up so it could be flooded and the bunkers could cover said area.
These assets are ment for my series ZILT. They are often part of a larger defensive line.
