Description:
Welcome to Whitestone Cove!

Delve into the wilds of the great Pacific Northwest! Carve out your niche within deep pine forests and along rugged coastlines. Whitestone Cove offers a variety of options for building your city. Build across the river and up the more sloped and rugged terrain, or expand into the flatlands south of the mountains. The cove at the base of the mountain is a valuable resource that could very well be made into hub for shipping and trade. Which direction will you choose?

Many thanks to ACanadianMoose[www.twitch.tv] for putting in a request for a Pacific Northwest map while streaming on Twitch. It had always been a goal of mine to do a map inspired by this area, and this was the perfect opportunity! Moose will be starting a new city using this map coinciding with its release to the workshop. Check out his stream[www.twitch.tv] if you want to see Whitestone Cove in all it’s glory!

Details

– All resources should be available and accessible within the base 25 tile area. Oil = snow in this map, so anywhere you see snow, it’s actually oil.
– Approx. 248,000 trees. (Yes
– The highways have been customized with the MoveIt!, Network Multitool, and Node Controller mods. Traffic should flow fine, but let me know if there are issues.
– All network connections are available.

Optional Requirements

If you want snow and in order to get the map looking the same as the screenshots you see here, there are some visual mods that are required. These aren’t necessary to run the map, only for making it look prettier. The mods can all be found in the Whitestone Cove One-Click Collection. If you get the visual mods, be sure to check the screenshot for the necessary Render It! mod settings.

Feedback

If ever you find anything wrong with the map or if I’ve missed a required asset or something please let me know. I can’t promise a fast response, but I’ll try to take care of any legitimate problems as quickly as I can.

Thank you!

You all are AWESOME and are the reason the Cities community is so incredible! Keep being the cool people you are, and I’ll see you around for the next one!
