Landscape Grass
Finally grass large enough to fill landscape scenes while remaining realistically scaled. 6 different grass assets, all made to 1:1 proportions so you can cover large areas without breaking your carefully crafted sense of scale.
There are 5 different types of grass (grasses 01 & 02 are the same grass with different footprint sizes), with the colors and sizes varying slightly. This allows for some variety in your landscaping. You can use different grasses in different areas, or mix them together to create variation.
Tri counts range from 1024 to 3360. LODs are in the 70-80 tri range. This means tri counts for these grasses are in the same range as your average workshop trees, and as such as they are quite performance friendly. You can spam them just like trees.
The main texture is 1024×512. All the grasses share the same texture, so Loading Screen Mod is recommended for reduced load times.
If you the LODs on this asset look bad in your game, you probably need to have Adaptive Prop Visibility Distance installed. These are large props, and almost all large props will have LOD issues without Adaptive Visibility. In addition, if you are experiencing flickering on the grasses when moving the camera, this is caused by the Shadow Smoothing feature in Relight. 90% of flickering in the game generally is caused by Shadow Smoothing. I strongly recommend disabling Shadow Smoothing except while taking screenshots.
