Cottesloe beach ocean pylon
Modelled on the Cottesloe beach ocean pylon in Perth, Western Australia
The concrete pylon was built in 1936 as part of a failed bid to erect a shark-proof net off Cottesloe Beach. It was originally designed to hold a diving board and was heritage listed in 2003.
Two pylons were originally installed to anchor a shark net following a fatal attack in 1925. But there is now only one remaining; the twin was destroyed in the winter storms of 1936.
Enjoy
**This asset doesn’t float so I highly recommend to use Quboid’s essential ‘Moveit’ mod to place and adjust the height when using. Also the colours may seem a little bright depending on the LUT settings, use ‘PO’ or ‘prop painter’ mod to darken the colour
Triangle count – 510
My first ever asset. Feedback welcomed.
