Balneário Camboriú – Brazil
With a backdrop of rolling green slopes, Balneário Camboriú is a coastal beach city in the Brazilian southern state of Santa Catarina. From gleaming skyscrapers to a steaming-hot beach scene, the city draws turists from all over South America.
Famous for the cable car which (uniquely in the world) links the city’s central beach and the beach of Laranjeiras. Other atractions include the Ferris Wheel, which offers views of the main city; the Cristo Luz statue, standing at 33 meters (108 feet) tall; the Unipraias theme park, situated on the hill between the central beach and the beach of Laranjeiras; and Goat Island, located next to the central beach.
The city is also known by the nickname "Brazilian Dubai", due to its high number of skyscrapers and affluent tourists. According to Forbes magazine, Balneario Camboriu was presented as "the capital of e-music" in the country. The city is home to two of the best clubs in the world, the Warung Club and the Green Valley Club.
