The Amtrak Standard Stations Program was an effort by Amtrak to create a standardized station design. The railroad launched the effort in 1978 to reduce costs, speed construction, and improve its corporate image.

When Amtrak was founded in 1971, it had no facilities beyond the station buildings and depots inherited from its constituent railroads. Many were in disrepair. Additionally, existing grand terminals in many large cities were larger than Amtrak needed and were expensive to retain. These reasons and others prompted the effort to provide those locations with more modern and appropriately sized facilities.

The station structures were intended to be functional, flexible, and cost-efficient.With spikes in ridership during the 1970s due to oil shortages, there was a perceived potential for permanent ridership gains. Therefore, Amtrak designed the stations to be easily expanded.

Five initial standard station design models were presented with varying ideal sizes and intended capacities. This variant is called 300A, and it is the largest variant of Amtrak Standard Stations project, also known as "Amshack".

Features

– Comes with basic decoration such as: rooftops, signage and lights. For platform detailing, use whatever you want.
– Low platform: Based with accurate track and platform height that is compatible with Railway 2 – Low platform station tracks.
– Compact stats: Lower pollution and noise radius, compared to vanilla station.
– Vanilla track length: Compatible with 5 car long units, altought tracks can be stretched in game with Move It.
– Pedestrian crossing: Pedestrians will cross the tracks via underside (glass room on the second track). There are no crossings on tracks in this variant, thus it can be used on high-dense sections where pedestrians crossing over tracks is problematic.
