Little Caesars is an American multi-national the third largest chain in its country by total sales, after Pizza Hut and Domino’s Pizza.

Little Caesars Pizza was founded on May 8, 1959 by Detroit Tigers shortstop Mike Ilitch and his wife Marian Ilitch. The first location was in a shopping center in Garden City, Michigan, a suburb of Detroit. Marian considered Mike his "little Caesar." Mike finally relented and the store opened as "Little Caesar’s Pizza Treat".
