PTV Volgren CR228L – Kinetic Expansion Pack
Here’s another bus ‘expansion pack’, this time for my Volgren CR228L in PTV livery and SmartBus livery. It contains 7 bus models with different destination boards and route numbers operated by Kinetic (if Additive Shader is installed). Buses with the SmartBus livery often run on non-SmartBus routes these days, hence I included them here as well.
This pack contains the following route numbers/destinations:
- Route 216: City via Dynon Road
- Route 234: Queen Vic Market via Port Melbourne
- Route 235: Fishermans Bend (Wharf Road)
- Route 236: Queen Vic Market via South Melbourne
- Route 237: Fishermans Bend (Lorimer Street)
- Route 246: Elsternwick via St Kilda
- Route 350: City (Queen Street)
Buses with routes 235, 237 and 246 are in SmartBus livery.
All the buses in this pack share textures, so total RAM usage is only around 8 MB if you’ve got Loading Screen Mod installed. If you do subscribe to it, you can also disable some of the buses included in Content Manager if you only want to use a select few.

Additive Shader for the destination boards and route numbers to appear (otherwise these won’t be of much use to you). Alternatively, use Visibility Control for better performance.
Loading Screen Mod to enable texture sharing and reduce RAM usage. All 7 buses share 2 sets of textures.
Advanced Vehicle Options to reduce acceleration/braking values if you want more realistic movement.
