The National
The National is a landmark high-rise building in Chicago and was originally named the Commercial National Bank Building.
Designed by D.H Burnham & Company in 1907, the 20 storey steel and concrete structure exemplifies the Classical Revival from one of the most significant architectural firms in Chicago. A complete renovation in 2017 delivered modern amenities to compliment this historic setting. The National sits in the very heart of Chicago’s Loop – a thriving urban hub where business, commerce, and mass transit intertwine with legendary Chicago landmarks.
This asset was commissioned by nicocn383 for his fictional city of Strathcona based on a mix of Seattle, WA and Vancouver, B.C. Essentially a rainy and green North American city on the Pacific coast.

I’ve tried to make this asset as realistic as possible and therefore the geometry tri count is high and the textures large. The model has been optimised as much as possible without compromising the structure and detail of the original building. All of the texture elements have been created specifically for this asset in order for full control over the final look.
