BEST USE: Deploy the decal on flat land and use MOVE IT or PO to copy and paste. Use the colour tools in PO or MOVE IT to adjust the brightness/colour. Then copy and paste the adjusted "blueprint" into your scene.
Please note: When deployed as a DECAL first time (before you manually adjust the BRIGHTNESS/COLOUR with the MOVE IT mod or the PO mod) it may appear very BRIGHT. You can get it as dark/bright you want with these tools and when you copy it (after adjustment) the adjustment (BRIGHTNESS/COLOUR) will also be copied as well so no need for another adjustment.
Tip 1: When placing on steep terrain you can use the PG>UP or PG>DOWN key to adjust the transparency to blend it in to the terrain. This can also be done on flat terrain. Works on PO and as a regular DECAL. If you use it a DECAL (not PO) then use the MOVE IT mod to adjust transparency.
Tip 2: You can adjust the width of the DECAL if you use it as PO. Use the SCALE tool in PO (procedural objects mod) to achieve this, nice if you want to fill up between roads like seen in one of the screenshots.
