Description:

Tiny Echelon by vsvg.scattered (Virginia’s VDOT shows a larger version of this intersection. All O did was shrink wrap it to show an alternate use approach.
By making a level crossing into a split level, the number of crossing path points is reduced to 6, Yay!
By putting the two heaviest inflows onto separate levels, they each can command their own personal traffic signal, so consider how to best rotate it before discarding it.

This does reduce the zoning area available, but improves the traffic flow as a tradeoff. Remember to have enough space, and nodes, on each side to let the traffic get into its preferred intersection lane, and then over to its ongoing travel lane.

TM:PE is not specifically required, but it does make pretty much everything better.

PS
Yes, this does not follow lane mathematics, as it uses the 60 kph NExt2 inspired three lane road to help keep Arterial traffic moving straight through at 60 and 50 kph. You can swap out any roads you like.
