Hawthorn trees
Please welcome the first Thorn trees to the workshop! Included are two Hawthorn trees, shown between summer and fall, when they’ve lost their flowers, but their haws (red berry-like fruits) are fully grown and ripe for the picking. The first model is a large tree known as the "Common Hawthorn" or "Quickthorn" (Crataegus monogyna) which is often found in fields and parks. The second model is a small ornamental tree hybrid, known as "Lavallée’s hawthorn" or the "Cockspurthorn" (Crataegus × lavalleei), which is often used as a street tree. Both share the same texture set, crafted from my own photos.
Another big thanks to MrMaison for his guidance and constructive criticism.
