Same map and city, just more dependencies needed on that one and this one has more accuracy and place names.

2023 Update – more vanilla with fewer mods and dependencies.

Accurate reproduction of the downtown and outlying areas. From the lake shore west to Laramie Avenue, from Irving Park Road in the north to 55th in the south.
I started with "Downtown Chicago" by Crazyglueit which is the best map and beginning point I could find. It was almost complete and almost accurate. I then used Overlay2 to overlay a map of Chicago into the game and traced it to correct street locations, beach contours, and the rivers. Then I began building the streets around The Loop and out to the edge of the map. I removed many streets that don’t exist and named all the real ones. Major streets and highways are as accurate and as detailed as possible, as well as properly named.
Game date is 2023
The river now flows from the lake to the west, as in real life. It is still filling.
Currently 36,000,000 in the bank.
No buildings or zoned areas.
Neighborhoods and districts are setup and named, though the names and boundaries can be very different depending on whom you ask.
All major roads and highways are in their correct locations with correct interstate numbers and names. Most small streets outside the Loop are not included to prevent running out of net nodes and segments so you can build the areas of the suburbs you want. Some areas do have small streets which you can delete if you wish – they are accurately placed and accurately named.
CTA/EL is complete and accurate with real station names and accurate routes and line colors.
Cargo rail network is accurate and complete, with rail yards and cargo stations.
No power, no water, no sewer, no trash, no healthcare, no police, no fire, no schools, no homes.
There are dependencies for the CTA/EL as listed on the right. The entire CTA subway/metro system is as complete as the map allows, and as accurate as possible. I put two bus depots that exist on the map area where they actually exist but no bus lines are set up.

You must disable and/or remove the following mods:
"Remove Need For Pipes" https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=576997275
"Remove Need For Power Lines" https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=572888650
"81TIles", "25 Tiles", "All Tiles" and other versions that change default tile behavior.
Instead, you will need to use "81 Tiles 2" https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2862121823
Be sure to subscribe to it, then start the game, enter Content Manager, disable or remove the ones listed above, enable this mod, check EVERYTHING EXCEPT FOR "Ignore original water buildings" and "Ignore expanded 81 tiles data when next loading a save" leave unchecked, and then start this map.
Currently, this is a beta, but it works great. In order for buildings to get water and electricity outside the normally used 25 tiles, this mod uses the same trick "Remove Need For" pipes and power lines. You will still need to have enough fresh water and sewage disposal, and generate enough electricity, but you will no longer need to run power or water lines around the map, just put water pipes on water/sewer stations to ‘connect’ them together.

NOTE: You must subscribe, then start game and go to Content Manager, and there you must go to Savegames and enable all custom/mod content for this map before you try to load it.

The Metro/EL/CTA rails use "Metro Over Road Tracks" in two sizes. They are in the dependencies links. So are the elevated stations. If you don’t download them there will be gaps in the metro/EL/CTA lines and you will have to place your own stations that are compatible with the "Metro Over Road Tracks" and non-vanilla metro-rail tracks and do all the CTA routes from scratch.

I’d welcome a coffee. I mean, this is a major doing. If you can afford it, I’d sure appreciate it.
