Showa Generic Set 3 (Medium)
Four more Showa buildings. I had to toss out 3 models because they needed some more detailed texture work so I’ll probably release them individually at a later date. Not sure how much longer I can keep up the single texture sheet…
I added two new awnings (featured on building 3) to the separate awnings prop pack, which are fully recolorable. I also fixed the issue with the existing awnings being really long and flapping violently in the wind.
My goals for this series:
- No signage. Doesn’t stand out, just fills in the gaps.
- Maximize randomization. These buildings use single-purpose prop packs and color textures to achieve greater variety.
- As few textures as possible. All 4 buildings use the same textures. Most, if not all, future releases will use these same textures as well. RAM dieters rejoice!
昭和の建物を4つ追加しました。あと3つほどテクスチャワークが必要なモデルがあったので、後日個別に公開することになると思います。いつまで1枚のテクスチャーシートを続けられるかわかりませんが…
オーニングプロップパックに、2つの新しいオーニング（建物3で紹介されている）を追加し、リカラーできるようにしました。また、既存のオーニングがとても長く、風で激しくはためくという問題も解決しました。
このシリーズで目指したこと。
- 看板を出さない。目立たず、隙間を埋める。
- ランダム性を最大化する。これらの建物は、単機能のプロップパックとカラーテクスチャを使用することで、より多様性を追求しています。
- テクスチャはなるべく少なく。9つの建物には、すべて同じテクスチャが使われています。今後のリリースでも、すべてではないにしても、ほとんどがこの同じテクスチャを使用する予定です。RAMダイエッターは大喜びです!
All buildings use the same 512×2048 texture (d,s,n,i,a,c).
