San Telesforo
To build this city I used the map "Evil Island – Ha Ha Ha!!!" (created and published by myself). Don’t forget to subscribe to this map and all the assets in its collection.
San Telesforo is an island republic located in Central America in the Gulf of Mexico.
The north of the island was first occupied by an Aztec population who founded a powerful city-state there with solar temples now in ruins.
The city of San Telesforo was founded in 1525 by the conquistador Pedro Guacamole as a small but strongly fortified military garrison.
The island was declared independent from the Spanish Empire by the heroic Sergeant Garcia in 1820 after a drunken evening at the local inn. For a long time, economic activity was limited to cereal cultivation and fishing. In the 19th century, the arrival of the railway allowed relative economic development by linking the island to the mainland. The discovery of rich deposits of ferrous metals allowed the foundation of a powerful iron and steel industry.
In the 20th century, the leadership of the country alternated according to military coups (General Alkazar, General Tapioca, General Burritos, General Tamales, etc.). in 1961, a communist regime was set up, supported and financed by Cuba and the USSR. A vast modernization plan was put in place by the construction of residential buildings as well as prestigious buildings (ministries, museums and hospital). In 1973, a paramilitary operation, organized by the CIA, put an end to the socialist regime. The liberalization of the economy allowed the development of tourism and financial activities.
In September 2022, the worldwide establishment of the "Plazas & Promenades" policy, caused a great crisis in San Telesforo; tourist activity declined until it became almost non-existent (from 7,000 tourists per week to less than 250). Airport activity ceased completely and almost the entire island population gave up traveling by car and bicycle.
The local government after having tried several fruitless policies decided to destroy all the historical monuments then to rebuild them immediately (Operations Move-it and Ctrl-Z). Immediately, economic activity reached pre-crisis levels. The consequence of this economic surge was the deterioration of road traffic (from 93% fluidity to less than 67%). The modernization of the network made it possible to restore the situation (fluctuation between 79-81%).
