Split Entry – Splitsville
…and now for something completely different. This is the first entry into my new series of split entry and split level homes, called Splitsville. I’m creating this series to fill a pretty big hole in the workshop, and will serve as a side project to my Pittsburgh Bungalow Series.
The split entry home was created as a solution to a specific sloped lot type, but soon builders were putting them everywhere, even on flat land. The style enjoyed the greatest popularity in the 1960s and 1970s, but continue to be built even today. They can be found all across the US from New England, throughout the midwest, and to the west coast. This one is based on housing in Dundee, OR, and was built in 2002 -far past the heyday for this style home. Millions of Americans call houses like this "home", and now your Cims can too. Split Entry #1 includes three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a finished lower level with two car integral garage, and a rear deck for weekend cookouts.
Please give me a "thumbs up" if you enjoy.
