Description:

Barrows were a common form of burial, intended for each to contain the remains of an individual and perhaps their family, esteemed members of the community, such as hunters, leaders or builders were placed here.
The curious facet is the evidence of multiple periods of repeated use, later cultures would open up a barrow in order to inter their dead before sealing them back again, whether this was an honorable act of veneration or a desecration is unknown.
Barrows resemble the interior of common round structures of the period, with a central hearth, sleeping and storage areas, the layout of these monuments too, as a collection of buildings in the form of a village, indicates a belief in the otherworldly land of the dead spirits.

This asset will be useful if you’re starting a historical series, or if you intend to feature some form of living history park.
