Road with Separate Trams
This is a 16m (2U) road with segregated tram tracks and a two-lane road.
This road is ideal for situations where you want to segregate tram traffic and general traffic, but the space only allows you to build a 16m (i.e. vanilla small) road. This road is an alternative one to the vanilla road with dedicated tram tracks in the middle.
Advantages:
– At the start/end of the segregated tram section, roads and tracks can be connected simply without crossing each other or setting up yield signs.
– Using TM:PE, trams can be sped up on the dedicated section, which makes travel times lower.
Disadvantages:
– Zoning is unfavourable on the tram side, as there is likely no (expected) vehicular access, or vehicles would interfere with the running of the trams.
– Stops are only available on the forward side.
