I was inspired by BadPeanut’s Tram Exchange Segment, but wanted two more car-lanes so that my lane arithmetic added up for my most common usage pattern (i.e. longitudinally between two 4-lane tram roads). I am not an artist, so I am indebted to Roadbuilder for automatically generating the model and lane-configuration. I manually edited the result to remove redundant Tracks (I’ve opted for Vanilla rather than custom props, Tracks, etc. wherever possible) and restrict the central tram lane Directions to Avoid Forward and Avoid Backward rather than Both. I also removed non-functional elevations, leaving only Basic/Ground. We are left with a 4-lane tram interchange inside a 4-lane road in a 32m wide envelope which supports the Reversible Tram AI.
The asset scratched a personal itch and seems to work well for what I wanted/needed it for. If it is useful to you too, I’ll be even more satisfied. If I find myself wanting to reconfigure the tram-lanes for other purposes, I may upload variants.
