Soviet Residential House/VGPP Workers House
In 1934, by decision of the Kuibyshev City Council, the Middle Volga River Shipping Company was allocated two land plots on the street. M. Gorky for capital construction. Three 4-story residential buildings were built on them, made in a single architectural style. Central house with three gables and a terrace and two buildings on the flanks.
The central residential building was built in 1936 "in connection with the particularly urgent need for living space to accommodate the loaders of the State Shipping Company." On the pediment, the years of construction and the abbreviation of belonging to VGPP (Volga Freight and Passenger Shipping Company) are indicated.
