Description:

Railyard Track Set – Adaptive Networks

Railway 2 is a network package which is packed with numerous new features, while maintaining the existing features of original Railway 1 project. It also brings new types of networks such as quads and mainlines. Check Railway 2 Guide in the collection, linked above.

About this network

Inspection/pit track, based on the ones located in SBB Lausanne and SBB Basel Railyards, some of which visible on Google Maps. Inspection tracks are concrete structures, used to check the undercarriage of the train coaches or locomotives. Since concrete casing is made, I also took the advantage of turning this network into other types of maintenance track used on facilities. Network comes with visual variations, such as 3 types of track base, ability to cover the pit with either grate or asphalt base. In addition to this, this asset also includes 4 types of light beams (seen in screenshots) coming with 4 intensity values. Beams will require Additive Shader, or Prop Anarchy mods – up to you.

– You can use the inspection track as it is or,
– Enable ‘Illuminated’ variant and enable light beams of your choice of intensity or,
– Enable Asphalt cover or metal grating to use it on areas such as refuel or cleaning yards or,
– Enable both "Illuminated" and "Narrow" variants to turn inspection track into a pit track instead.

Network relies on Adaptive Networks for said customization features:

Base Types
* Standard mesh
* Illuminated: Concrete casing with insets for light beams
* Narrow: Concrete casing with asphalt corners
* Illuminated AND Narrow Enabled: Removes concrete casing so network can be used as pit track.

Variations:
* Metal Grate: Adds metal cover over maintenance track – useful for cleaning areas.
* Asphalt: Covers with Asphalt – useful for refuel yards.

Wire Standard:
* Disabled: Spawn no wires
* R2 EUR: Spawns R2 European wires, that is also vanilla height for base game.
* R2 USA: Spawns R2 USA wires that is compatible with R2 USA train pantographs.
* R2 EUR nodeless: Spawns R2 European wires without droppers.
* Single Wire: Spawn R2 European/vanilla compatible single wire, that can also be used on tram yards.

Catenaries:
* Disabled: Self explanatory
* Enabled: Spawns catenaries.

Known Issues and Solutions

* Void nodes on game load:
This is a bug in Adaptive Networks code and should be adressed by kian. Until then, go to options menu while in-game and open Adaptie Networks’ options section. Click ‘Reload Networks’, this should fix the void issue. If not, click on void nodes with Node Controller UI.

* Duplicate track on connection with 2×2 standard nets:
This is another AN bug, as game for some reason spawns a duplicate rail mesh. Use 1×1 regular network between railyard and your 2×2 track, or switch to mainline set. This problem only happens on 2×2 regular nets, including vanilla.

* Possible mis-alignment of beams: Related to network lenght, it might happen. If it happens to an annoying degree, disable lights and place beams yourself.

Find-it for Beams: "yard-beam"
