PTV Gemilang
Kinetic Melbourne operate 110 of these Gemilang buses, which have become a fairly common sight on SmartBus routes. The earlier variants were manufactured in Malaysia between 2013 and 2015, however this newer variant was manufactured locally in Ballarat between 2017 and 2019, built on a Scania K310UB chassis. Most of these newer orders came in 2019 as part of a $16 million State Government order for 100 new Scania buses, split 50/50 between Gemilang and Volgren Optimus bodies.
This version comes in the PTV/Kinetic livery, with the destination boards displaying Route 905 (City via Freeway) if you’ve got the Additive Shader mod (optional).
