Advanced Unlocks

Advanced Unlocks is a configurable mod that allows you to select milestones and individual game features to automatically unlock at the start of a new map, without removing the fun natural progression of unlocking milestones and other features of the game.

Features & Changes
  • Unlock all roads and intersections
  • Unlock requirements for train and metro rails (only removes the need to place a station, does not remove milestone)
  • Unlock ALL landscaping tools (including paths, walls and water structures)
  • Unlock all districts and specialisations (campus areas, park areas, industry etc)
  • Toggle on/off any unlocks in the content manager settings

Installation & Usage

Simply subscribe to this mod via the steam workshop to have it installed automatically.

To enable/Disable the mod, toggle it on or off using the in game Content Manager
To configure, open the Content Manager in game (before loading a map) and click the "Options" button, you can see what features you would like to turn off or on by default. These settings are saved locally to your cities skylines folder.

Compatibility

This mod should work with all DLC items and workshop additions providing they are set up correctly.

I have plenty of experience making mods using C# for other games, but this is my first for C:S and my first Steam workshop item too so give me some time to figure these things out 🙂

Credits to the author of Unlock All Roads, Zexel, for the inspiration.
This mod is derived from comments to his mod about wanting paths unlocked as well, and as the mod is reported as outdated I figured I could update it and roll in new features too.

Credits also go further to zexel, and paradox for their source code that has allowed me to learn quickly and create this mod.
