Description:

2019 I won’t be updating this map for several reasons, but I’m going to leave it here in its original form for the lolz. Watch the video by BonBonB to have a good laugh at this very early Miyagi map. We are all beginners at some point! Will you become a map maker? I hope so! 🙂 https://youtu.be/7czcwVcT3is

Beaches, islands, craggy mountains, lush valleys, high leveled plateaus for prime property… this map has them all.

I built in a "wave" system that looks a lot like rip currents. Because of the coral barrier ridge just below the water line, the water funnels sideways and rushes out to sea at lowered parts of the reef, causing bigger whitecaps than normal and a lot of water movement sideways and then rushing back out to sea. Not exactly waves lapping on shore (although that does occur in a spot or two!), but it looks pretty good especially at closest views.

Although the several valleys separated by sharp volcanic mountain ranges are a formidable barrier (they make things look good, though), there is transportation access for all. I play with the default 9 squares possible, so I design with this in mind. It’s still a bit of a challenge with the 9 square limitation, but there is great variety in the possibilities for this map, making for great replayability. Will you go to the mountains? To the beaches? A little of both?

Please note the Robusta Palm Tall by Shroomblaze is necessary to have the map correctly forested. I highly recommend taking a look at his his other palms, wihch also look great on the islands! They can be found in his palm tree collection http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=420715248
