Description:
Welcome to Narrow Bay

The Moaika basin, surrounded by the Griffmore mountain range, was once known as the great Moaika lake. Stories are told about the great roar, when hundreds of years ago, the water masses finally broke through the mountain range and carved out the narrow bay we all know nowadays. The water level sank within weeks and left behind a fertile river Delta, expanding into the Mandalin sea.

Settlers never dared to build their cities along the Drowsen Delta, since heavy rainfalls regularly flooded the basin. But times changed. The climate became drier and the people realized the natural wealth of the area. Connections between neighboring cities were built and opened up the basin for further development.

It’s time to create flourishing cities along the riverbank, vivid tourist hotspots at the sea, and extensive hiking trails with stunning views over the basin and beaches. It’s time to create your own story 😊

The map has large plain areas along the river and further north. Also, the islands are kept more or less flat. Great for a bigger city or agriculture industry. Stretching along the sea and on the whole west side of the map you’ll find a nice mountain range with narrow valleys, rivers and lakes. Great for smaller villages, natural reserves or just recreational areas for your cims. The beaches in the south are quite flat to host tourist locations along the sea side.

There are approx. 230.000 trees on the map. I used low poly versions.

I recommend to use the mod 81 tiles as the largest flat area is outside the normal range. But there is enough space along the river for smaller cities or villages.

I also recommend to subscribe to all the assets and mods from the collection to get the map working and looking properly. I know there are quite a few, but I’m sure you already got many of them….

Connections:

There are more connections than usual, I don’t think you’ll need the mod Unlimited Outside Connections as the connections have already been placed.

Roads: – There is one 3-lane Highway going through the lower area of the map 2 incoming / 2 outgoing – One national road along the coast 2 incoming / 2 outgoing – One national road going inwards the bay 1 incoming / 1 outgoing – One national road going through a narrow valley 1 incoming / 1 outgoing All those roads form an already functional system which can be expanded with 2 more outside connections if you play on all 81 tiles. Rail: – There is one rail line going along the coast inwards the bay 2 incoming / 2 outgoing This line can be upgraded as there is a second outside connection next to it 2 incoming / 2 outgoing – Again, there are a few more connections if you play an all 81 tiles. Ship: – There is one Shipping route going all the way though the river 2 incoming / 2 outgoing – There are a few more outside connections to cover all the coast length Plane:5 incoming / 5 outgoing

All the roads and train lines have realistic inclinations, therefore it’s a bit of a curvy ride 😉 I’d slow down the speed limit with TM:PE to get a more realistic appearance.
Just upgrade the road system and intersections as your city grows.

Screenshots are taken with Daylight Classic, Relight Neutral

It’s my first ever object I uploaded on Steam so I really hope everything works and you guys have fun playing on this map! And if so, please leave a like and comment. Let me know how to improve the map!
Can’t wait to see how other cities will look like on this map 😊
