A map of my beautiful 79,000 inhabitant hometown in the middle of Hesse, Germany.
Founded in 1152 the city nowadays is a centre for science, education, medical care and economy in the middle of Hesse. Being the location of several institutions of higher education Giessen is one of the youngest German cities by population – nearly every second citizen is a student.
The map is based on a heightmap so the terrain should be quite accurate.
I also tried my best to build realistic highways and rail tracks but that was a bit harder due to limited map access points. Nevertheless the layout of the "Ring" comes very close to reality and you can easily recognise it. Also the connections to Siegen/Wetzlar, Marburg, Kassel and Frankfurt/the Rhine Main area are clearly visible.
I also added a plane corridor to keep your business growing.
