深圳，别称鹏城，广东省副省级市，国家计划单列市，中国第一个经济特区。深圳最早属于广州府宝安县，深圳之名始见史籍于明朝永乐八年（1410年）。1979年，深圳市成立。40余年来，深圳跻身全国一线城市，发展成为全国性经济中心城市、科技创新中心，享有“中国硅谷”的美誉。

Shenzhen, located in Guangdong / Canton province of PRC (People’s Republic of China), is one of the Municipalities with Independent Planning Status under the National Social and Economic Development and the first special economic zone of China. Earliest traceable to 1410 AD during Ming dynasty, the fishing village is first named Shenzhen and eventually become a prefecture-level city in 1979. Over the past 40 years, Shenzhen has found its place as one of China’s first-tier cities and developed into a national sci-tech innovation center, enjoying the reputation of "China’s Silicon Valley".
This map is a replicate of Shenzhen at a scale of around 1:3 (60km × 60km) and starts at Luohu District (the tile (6, 6)). Taken Longhua District as the center, the map stretches from the estuary of Pearl River (Lingdingyang Estuary) and Guangzhou-Shenzhen Coastal Expressway in the west, to Yantian Port in the east, from Sha Tin District and Tsuen Wan District of Hong Kong in the south, to Guangming District and Dongguannan Railway Station in the north.
