DIY Airports
With DIY Airports and some Airports Block Services you can build your very own functional airport without using any building from the DLC (but you do need the DLC for game mechanics).
– a network called the "Smaller concourse". It will allow you to plop stands.
– 3 stands that can be used when building a terminal:
—> Large Aircraft Stand, Jet Bridge
—> Medium Aircraft Stand, Jet Bridge
—> Small Aircraft Stand, Walk into terminal
I found it hard to create an elevated pedestrian connection. So I took a shortcut and everything happens at ground level. With jet bridges you won’t see passengers until they hit the right spot of the concourse, inside your terminal. With "Walk in terminal" you’ll see them all along. You can then use anarchy to create a path inside your building to make them up go upstairs, in a hidden place.
– 2 remote stands (small and medium).
– a cargo stand: the DLC comes with a 9×11 stand, I set this one to 9×15 to make cargo trucks spawn and despawn far from the plane.

To convert buildings you like into procedural objects and use them as your decorative terminal.
– Network Anarchy
– Find it! 2
To find easily all the assets. Search for DIY Airports and you’ll see all 7 items.
– Network skins
To get rid of lights and decorations on a road placed between the stand and the concourse.
– Ploppable Asphalt+ and Ploppable Pavement.
You will find useful:

To create an elevated exit for your airport (see tutorial)
– Retaining Walls – Pack#01 (or equivalent, see tutorial)
– Invisible Pedestrian Path Set (or equivalent)
– Picker
To quickly change from smaller concourse to the road you designed for your airport.
– Pavement road and Flat Pavement roads Connector & Segment Pack.
It matches airport textures.
When installing a jet bridge stand you’ll have to plop two concourses (and then delete one). For remote stands you’ll have to plop only one concourse. Please have a look at the pictures posted above.
