Description:

Christ the Redeemer (Cristo Redentor or Cristo del Corcovado) is an Art Deco statue of Jesus Christ in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Created by the Franco-Polish sculptor Paul Landowski and built by the Brazilian engineer Heitor da Silva Costa, in collaboration with the French engineer Albert Caquot. The Romanian sculptor Gheorghe Leonida sculpted the face. It was built between 1922 and 1931. The statue is 30 metres high, not counting the 8-metre pedestal, and is made of reinforced concrete and soapstone.

In 2007 the statue of Christ the Redeemer became one of the New Seven Wonders of the Modern World.

The model consists of two sub-meshes (pedestal and the sculpture). The 3D model is similar in size to the real building.
