Description:

City of Oakdale decided to invest heavily into bicycle networks across the city and in tourism.

During the process a new Bus station was built and roadways had some major changes when a comprehensive network of bicycle lanes was added. In this process one highway got downgraded into an avenue. Bus network was redesigned to take new bicycle routes into consideration and a colour coding was added. Red buses leave from the bus station, orange buses leave from the new airport and blue buses are for inter-district connectivity without passing via bus station or the airport.

Investment into tourism saw a new purpose built district been developed and to support that lot of new office and commercial areas were added. This lead into an influx of about 25 thousand new citizens so the bold move by the city paid off.

Due to all enhancements into the public transit and to road network, even massively increased amount of people both visiting the city and living in there didn’t cause traffic jams and the traffic flow still measures to 93-94 %.

This is a part two to my Story of Oakdale series where one plain vanilla city gets updated with different DLCs at each part. Unlike some other "tutorials" I will only use 1 DLC at each part. Hence the Part 3 will show us what happens in alternative reality where city decides to do something else instead.

Please make sure you enable HARD MODE -mod in the content manager to get the right economics for this city.

Stay tuned!
