Story Of Oakdale – Part Four, Industries
Another what if scenario for a City Of Oakdale.
Oakdale city council decided to invest heavily on getting more industrial jobs into the city. This change saw a large change on traffic, zoning and employment. And since the Oakdale isn’t positioned in favourable position regarding the oil and ore, all raw materials must be imported and only processing industry is located in the city. This is a small setback for the ambitious plan but lucrative and high profile unique industries make up for the loss.
City managed to attract various high profile factories into the city which also play a key role for its goods production. However, they are not able to keep up with the demand and large part of the consumption needs to be met with imported goods. This lead into a several projects were road layouts were improved and changed to both encourage and discourage traffic, depending on the area in question. For example the dam is now a bus only road allowing more efficient mass transit across the river.
As always, this save is with basegame + 1 DLC, this time The industries and no mods, assets, CCP etc. are used. Only mod needed (well, not needed needed but was used while creating the city) is the built in Hard Mode. Don’t forget to enable it when loading this city, otherwise you might be swimming in money 🙂
