AN-2 "Colt" is a Soviet light multipurpose aircraft developed in 1947.
The AN-2 is a single-engine piston biplane. It has many modifications and is used as an agricultural, sports, transport, training and passenger aircraft. It is used as a military device in a number of countries. It has unique flight characteristics, reliable design and high maintainability. It is still in operation.
The AN-2 was produced in the USSR, Poland and, according to some reports, continues to be produced in China. In total, more than 18,000 An-2 units were built. It was exported to 26 countries around the world.
