The SJ X40 is a double-decker electric multiple unit built by Alstom and introduced in Sweden in 2004. Designed for regional and commuter routes, it offers quiet, smooth travel on lines such as Stockholm–Uppsala and Västerås. The trains have since been refurbished to enhance the travel experience and meet modern passenger expectations.
