Underground Train Station, New York-style, semi-modular
I created this because MOM (Metro Overhaul Mod) does not allow you to change undergound stations between metro and train, and I desperately wanted that option for Arti Shatkovski’s New York Metro Station MetroPed V1 (MOM compatible) [steamcommunity.com] which my asset is based on entirely.
Subscribing to both my asset and Arti Shatkovski’s assets , you can now connect an underground train station to an underground metro station with pedestrian tunnels!
Or you can even turn (certain) parks into station entrances, such as core79’s 45º Park
PLEASE READ Arti Shatkovski’s item’s description for how to place this asset. It can be very finicky.
***I am not a modder, so I might not be able to help if anyone experiences any issues. This works for me, and I am just sharing this for anyone else who may be looking for something similar.
Steam’s required item list is blank whenever I upload an item, even under my "subscribed" item’s list, so please know all of the follower are REQUIRED
1. Extra Train Station Tracks (ETST) [steamcommunity.com] – my asset (*and quite possibly your save, according to these authors*) will break without this!! Delete the station first before removing this mod!
2. New York Metro Entrance Perpendicular MetroPed (MOM compatible) [steamcommunity.com] – for extra entrances to connect to this station with pedestrian tunnels.
3. Map Editor Tunnel Enabler – The game does not allow underground train stations, which creates visual problems when connecting tunnel tracks to an underground train station, but thanks to this mod by BloodyPenguin and with PATIENCE and a little effort, just keep upgrading the connection to a tunnel until it is rendered correctly. Fine Road Anarchy 2 will help with this, too.
4. Metro Overhaul Mod[steamcommunity.com] – please see *** below
This model was originally a metro station which I converted to a train station. Because of this, there is NO option to allow intercity trains. If you do not place train line stops, this station will not be used. I cannot figure out how to get "allow intercity trains" to pop up, even with the correct mods installed. I think this is entirely because metro stations do not have that option, and again, this was originally a metro station.
***Because there is obviously still metro coding in my asset since intercity passengers are not possible, you may have to also subscribe to Metro Overhaul Mod[steamcommunity.com] as my asset was created from an asset that was MOM compatible***
Per the original model’s description (again, PLEASE READ that description) this station needs to placed on FLAT ground, or the pedestrian tunnels will appear uneven. This is just visual, the station will still work properly.
