Caernarvon Sounds

Originally, the Caernarvon Sounds map was intended to be based on various parts of New Zealand and the eastern coast of Australia, but during development, many fictional and unrelated locations were added. However, I tried to maintain the overall style. Essentially, the map represents two narrow, mountainous stretches of land separated by a vast navigable bay with dozens of detailed islands. The terrain is very wild, featuring dense forests, areas suitable for national parks, small rocky rivers, and cliffs. Since ancient times, these magnificent lands have been inhabited by Māori tribes.

The map was created based on the heightmap of a random continental mountain range somewhere in Australia, which was later partially flooded and altered.

The map contains:

• 3 road connections
• 3 train connections
• 4 ship connections
• 2 plane connections
• 711,998 trees (!)
• 3,000 props

Please note that in the screenshots I set completely different times of day, which also has an impact on the visuals. You can set the time with Play It! or other mods.

Also, PLEASE use Skyve to monitor the compatibility of your mods and their relevance, so that you don’t have to write another comment like “The map doesn’t work!”

Make sure you have the “Unhide” option enabled for trees under buildings in the Tree Control 1.0 mod settings: almost all trees located along the coastline overlap with rocks, which causes them to disappear upon the first map load if the correct setting is not selected.
Also, pay attention to the total number of trees on the map and ensure that you have the appropriate limit set.
