Train vehicles + Props
This electrical train ran on Saltsjöbanan, a suburban rail line between Stockholm and Saltsjöbaden. This asset is made up of three different models of carriages that have been renovated and preserved by Stockholm-Saltsjöns Museiförening[www.ssnj.se].
Saltsjöbanan started out with steam engine, but the decision to electrify the network was soon made. The electric motor coach and driving trailer (no. 22) modeled here were built in 1912, and the network was electrified in 1913. 14 passenger carriages were built to be pulled by steam engine between 1892 and 1909, and half of these were rebuilt into driving trailers in conjunction with the network electrification. The last one of these remaining is carriage number 11, modeled here.
