1973 Buick LeSabre Custom
The Buick LeSabre became the new name plate for the outdated Buick Special in 1959. It was one of four nameplates for full sized cars from Buick. The names being LeSabre, Invicta, Electra, and the Electra 225. The LeSabre nameplate lasting the longest of the four.
For this fourth generation LeSabre Buick completely restyled its B and C body cars. They were larger, wider and heavier than its predecessors. It also offered for the first time a larger v8 but with lower compression for use with lower octane fuels. This LeSabre offered government mandated 5 mph bumpers, under bumper turn signals, larger in set rear taillights and large front and rear glass windscreens making visibility a breeze.
