My World Trade Center asset for Cities: Skylines, NOW AS ONE PART thanks to Boformer’s Sub-Buildings Enabler mod! (You MUST subscribe to and enable the mod to plop this, it can be found here: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=553501635

This model is 1:1 scale and built to a great degree of accuracy with a high level of detail. Excepting the outer edges few other minor details, this recreation is true to the dimensions, look, and layout of the original World Trade Center. The complex as recreated in this add-on includes:

1. 1 World Trade Center.
— Detailed roof and antenna.
— VIP entrance at street level.
2. 2 World Trade Center.
— Detailed roof with…
—- Detailed observation platform that includes fencing, lights, benches, and viewing scopes.
—- Antenna and radio arrays.
—- Helipad platform and stairs.
— Street level entrance.
3. Both towers feature…
— 3D columns.
— Accurate patterns of aluminum cladding with stainless steel accents.
— Accurate floor, window, and spandrel count and size.
— The height difference between the two towers. The North Tower was a few feet higher, and that’s reflected here.
— Accurate and detailed bases with the famous "tridents," with different heights for street and plaza entrances.
4. 3 World Trade Center, also known as the Marriott World Trade Center Hotel.
— Accurate facades, window patterns, and cladding patterns.
— Accurately shows the north face without windows.
— Also includes features usually left out of other recreations like…
—- The street-level entrance.
—- The Tall Ships Bar and Grill on the south side at street level.
—- The plaza-level entrance and other areas that protrude from the building.
5. 4 World Trade Center.
— Includes entrances and signage for The Mall at the World Trade Center and Flowers of the World.
6. 5 World Trade Center.
— Includes the Borders bookstore.
7. Both 4 and 5 World Trade Center feature…
— Accurate facades, cladding, and window layouts with partially 3D columns.
— More or less accurate locations of doors, windows, and vents where they were clear in references.
— Simple but accurate roofs and penthouses.
— Accurate columns and supports around the base floors.
8. 6 World Trade Center, also known as the U.S. Customhouse.
— Has simple but accurate roof, penthouse, and accurate columns and supports around the base floor.
— Accurately features column and window layout different from 4 & 5 WTC, as well as being lower.
9. Other street level details include…
— Pedestrian and garage entrances.
— The Survivors Staircase, a set of stairs and two escelators used by survivors to escape the complex on 9/11.
— Partially accurate layout of trees and planters where possible.
— Signage for the different buildings and entrances, includign some in the plazas.
10. 7 World Trade Center.
— An accurate model based on actual blueprints and measurements.
— Detailed roof with penhouses, fan units, vents, and radio array.
— Accurate patterns of exterior cladding, window layouts, and floor count.
— Unique and accurate east and west facades.
— Includes a section of the building at the base covering the electrical substation below.
— Also features the pedestrian bridge and promenade that connected 7 WTC to the rest of the complex.
11. Austin J. Tobin Plaza and other areas with a number of details including…
— All 4 major works of art including…
—- The Sphere and its surrounding fountain, bench, and planter layout with lights.
—- Ideogram
—- Cloud Fortress
—- Bent Propeller
— The memorial to the 1993 bombing.
— Accurate layout for the red stonework in the main plaza.
— Planters/grassy areas which may not be fulyl accurate, but based on plans and photos that vary over time.
— The staircases alongside the towers that connected the plaza to street level.
12. Finally, the complex features a fictional and simple 9/11 memorial located in an area that would otherwise be empty or taken up by a wide street. The memorial is a pentagonal fountain with a U.S. flag surrounded by trees.

DIRECTIONS FOR BUILDING IN-GAME:

1. Subsribe to Boformer’s Sub-Buildings Enabler here: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=553501635 – After subscribing, ENABLE the mod in the mods menu. After placing the complex, the mod can be disabled, or can break, without affecting the placement of the building in your saves.

2. Build a road out to where you want to plop it. Plop it! Then build the rest of the roads around it.

It’s that simple! NO MORE need for the terraform mod or manually flattening ground. NO MORE trying to figure out what goes where. NO MORE difficulty sizing up the total lot placement. Just plop it all at once!

HOWEVER, while you do not need to manually level ground for the buildings, any roads you build or that are part of the plopped asset will still conform to the land, so you should still try to place it on level ground, and use a terraform mod as necessary.

PROS to this version of my World Trade Center:

* Can be plopped in one big piece, instead of 11 small pieces.
* One easy subscription, plus the Sub-Building mod, instead of 11.

CONS to this version of my World Trade Center:

* Cims do not hang out around the plazas or rest of the complex, only the base building, so the complex will always look devoid of life. If you want people to stroll around the complex, you’ll just have to use the multi-part version of this complex: https://steamcommunity.com/workshop/filedetails/?id=519426572
* At 123 MB for the total set of buildings included here, you’ll have to wait a couple minutes for it to download bwfore playing. With 11 highly detailed unique buildings (originally each about 10-11 MB each), each with their own full 2048×2048 texture sets (plus LODs), all in one set, that’s why it’s 123.158 MB.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

– The 3D columns of the towers may result in odd patterns with poor or no anti-aliasing. You can fix this by using better anti-aliasing, or using the DYNAMIC RESOLUTION MOD, which you can find here: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=406629464&searchtext=dynamic+resolution

– This complex was designed to be explorable with the GROUND LEVEL CAMERA MOD: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=406749417&searchtext=first+person
You can also use the FIRST-PERSON CAMERA MOD to explore it: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=406255342&searchtext=first+person

– There’s a very slight chance this may require After Dark to work. If you do not have After Dark and this does not work, let me know. Nothing I can do about it, but I’ll at least add that dependency.
