Ah, yes! The DCMI Interchange, the big thing that every roadgeek seem to be talking about. I’m not saying it’s overhyped, but… It’s just that it’s not that "revolutionary", so to speak. It’s a very efficient interchange indeed, but it’s more of a perfected version of a full diamond/gothic interchange than a brand-spanking new thing, at least in my opinion. And that’s not me trying to discredit its designer Micheal A. Gingrich, who is a traffic planning god! You’ll probably see more of his creations in my collection soon enough!

Advantages:
+ No weaving
+ Semi-directional
+ Longer ramps mean more space for queues

Disadvantages:
– While it’s often marketed as a compact design in the real world, it’s fairly large in-game due to game restrictions
– Moderately difficult to retro-fit and improve
