Monaco – Vanilla Updated 2018
Updated Feb 2018. This is now a vanilla version of the Project Monaco map. The theme for Project Monaco is recommended http://steamcommunity.com/workshop/filedetails/?id=1246231073, but you can choose whatever theme you’d like to use. It is now a temperate map, so you can use any of the fine temperate map themes out there. This version has regular game trees and no custom items like rocks, but it does have all the roads seen in the images. Any Mass Transit roads have been converted to regular roads for you.

Active overlay image is placed here: C:Program Files (x86)SteamSteamAppscommonCities_SkylinesFiles. Whichever overlay you want to be active has to be named overlay.png. Any time you want to switch between Road and Satellite views, either rename the current overlay or move from folder to folder so it doesn’t overwrite one with the other. You can switch them while still in game!

Monaco is the second smallest country in the world, and the most densely populated country in the world! Monaco clings to the edge of a dramatic shoreline. If ever there were a challenging terrain map for a real city, this would be the one!
I recommend having the Extra Landscaping Tools mod by BloodyPenguin for this map. It allows you to alter terrain much easier and faster than with the default terrain brush. Although you can certainly use this map without that mod and even without the map theme, it is a lot of fun sculpting this terrain to match your growng Monaco..
