Modular Golf Set
This is my best attempt at a modular golf course building solution. Now you can truly design the individual holes of your golf course!
This may very well be my last upload (other than maybe sharing my savegames). My schedule is too busy for continued uploading.
I recommend using BloodyPenguin’s Toggelable Whiteness to see what the heck you’re doing.
If you are not willing to spend time to learn how these pieces work together, this set is probably not meant for you. It is a time commitment to create all 18 holes. Just saying.
The "smoothing" tool in the terraforming mod is your best friend.
It is very hard to seamlessly implement cart paths in between the different pieces.
9 unique rough fillers
9 unique fairways
9 unique bunkers
9 unique greens
The rough fillers are the "background" for the fairways, bunkers, and greens. The fairways are designed so that they can be seamlessly molded together.
The only issue with this type of modularity is that there will be clipping with the rough and whatever is on top of it if you are building on a slope. My only advice is to not use steep slopes. Again, smoothing the terrain will help A LOT.
